We're the Phantasmagoria Collective, the webmaster(s) of this site. We're a median plural system with an ever fluctuating amount of members. Bodily, we are 23 years of age and we collectively use he/it pronouns.

We started this site in 2024 with the intent of having a personal space to be different in peace. We hope that this place can continue to be a safe space for us to share info about ourselves and write about our interests, identity, and mental health without worry.

1. What do you go by collectively?

• Collectively, you may refer to us by our system name, the Phantasmagoria Collective, or by our collective name of Bishop. We pretty much collectively use he/it pronouns, but a plural they/them is also tolerable.

2. How should people refer to you?

• You can address us individually, or you can just address us all as being Tieria. If someone has a problem with that, they'll let you know.

3. What terms do you prefer for referring to yourselves as individuals or as a group? Is there any other terminology for yourselves or aspects of your experience that you use and want people to know, or that you dislike and want people to avoid when talking about you?

• You may refer to us as "headmates", "system members", or "facets". We don't actively discourage the use of other terms for our members, however we tend to stay away from "alter". It's not because of any kind of aversion to the word in of itself, but because of the heavy medicalization of the term. We also refer to our system as "median" and "plural". We don't consider ourselves fully multiple, so we find that word to be incorrect in reference to our system.

4. Who in your system are people most likely to interact with?

• We tend to have the same five or so members active at a time, with other members who come and go with activity and dormancy. Those members are likely the only ones to be listed at the bottom of this page, so I'd just look there if I were you.

5. Are there any system members who are nonverbal or otherwise have difficulty communicating?

• We don't have any kind of nonverbal members. We do have trouble socially, though not specifically with communication in the context that this question is asking.

6. What should people do if they don't know who's at front?

• You can just ask. A lot of the time we don't exactly make it clear who's fronting, because it's never super clear to us. Again, you can just function under the assumption that we're Tieria, and someone will correct you if they feel the need to.

7. Is it okay for people to ask if they can talk to someone who isn't at front at the moment?

• We don't really have a problem with this, and since our system is quite prone to the "cocktail party effect", there is a possibility that the requested facet will present themself. It's not an absolute guarantee, however.

8. If someone talks to one of you, will other system members be aware of the conversation?

• All of us have the capacity to be aware of and remember conversations between other members and outside people due to our lack of full amnesia barriers.

9. If multiple system members will be aware of a conversation, will they want to chime in? If someone wants to speak to a system member one-on-one, what expectations can they have and how should they communicate this?

• Some members will want to participate, others will try to mind their own business. We don't have a lot of control over our fronts, so you kind of just have to be fine with the possibility of others being around during one-on-one conversations. It shouldn't be too big of an issue, anyway. We're facets, not fully differentiated.

10. How out are you?

• We are open about our plurality with certain online communities (usually ones specifically for alterhumanity and plurality) and select close friends. Outside of those specific social environments, we make a point to keep our systemhood a secret. Especially when it comes to real-life familial and professional relations.

11. Do you have any internal communication difficulties, memory issues, switch triggers, etc that others should be mindful of?

• We have a handful of dissociative traits and symptoms. Internal communication is generally fine. Sometimes it can be a little murky. We mentioned in a prior answer that we lack full amnesia barriers, so we don't have blackouts or large memory gaps, but we do suffer from emotional amnesia. While we can remember things clearly from member to member, in the event of a sudden switch of fronters, there will be times where a facet will logically understand where they are and the context of the situation they're in, but emotionally it's like they have no clue. This can lead to some brief periods of confusion and a lack of emotional investment in the current moment. We have some switch triggers outside of our proneness to the "cocktail party effect", but they aren't things that we feel bothered to share.

12. Your stance on being asked questions?

• We are fine with being asked questions, generally, so long as the inquirer is asking politely and in good faith.
